Guidelines to make the most of your day:
Do I need to book ahead? Yes, please ensure to book your tour date and departure time in advance so you don’t miss out. No need to book return times as you decide on the day. You have the freedom to plan your own adventure at your own pace and do remember to pre-book dining & bike hire in the high season.
How much are tasting fees? Some wineries may or may not charge, however it is industry standard for cellar doors to charge a $10 - $20 tasting fee.
Is there a maximum group size? The boutique wineries recommend no more than a group of 8 for wine tastings at any one time. For larger groups please contact our friendly staff who will help you make plans & advise you of options for your group. [email protected]
Can we drink on the bus? No, our bus is not licensed to have alcohol being consumed on board. We follow strict duty of care protocols that may result in a person’s tour being stopped and removal of the offending passenger in the event of intoxication or disrespectful behaviour.
How does it work? We keep it simple and flexible. You tell our driver which wineries you would like to visit and we'll get you there. We then arrange a time to pick you up and shuttle you to the next winery of your choice. No restrictive timetables. If you're not sure which wineries to visit, please ask our friendly driver for help and they will be happy to assist.
Cleaning & Damages - A fee will apply if passengers spill drinks or food or if the bus is damaged. Please respect the condition of the bus for the next passengers.
Best Behaviour - Queenstown Wine Hopper Bus attracts many local people and people from all over the world and our intention is for everyone to enjoy themselves, therefore we expect people to be on their best behaviour.
